By the Top3Hotels editorial team. Based on Booking.com guest scores and reviews, location data and reference prices. We did not stay at this hotel. Updated 2026-10-24.
Yes for most visitors to Dinan: it is a few minutes from the château, guests rate the breakfast, and the price sits below the local median. Travellers who want a long list of facilities may feel it is modest for the money.

Couples and short-break visitors who want to walk everywhere in the old town are the natural fit. The address puts the château and the basilica within a few minutes on foot.
Family rooms are listed, and the listing is tagged as pet friendly. Confirm the pet policy and any fee before you go.
Anyone expecting a spa, a gym or a pool should look elsewhere. The facilities listed are a restaurant, family rooms, free Wi-Fi and a 24-hour front desk, and some guests feel the price is high for what is on offer.

The hotel is at 29 place Duguesclin. On straight-line estimates, Château de Dinan is about 0.2 km away, roughly 3 minutes on foot, and the Basilica of Saint-Sauveur is about 0.3 km, around 4 minutes.

What guests say
Hôtel Marguerite scores 8.6 out of 10 from 1,363 reviews. Location is the first thing guests mention, followed by breakfast.
The breakfast buffet gets praise for homemade items and local products, with both sweet and savoury choices. Breakfast is listed as continental and buffet.
The main criticism is value. Many call the rates reasonable for the area, but some find the cost high for the facilities.
Price and what you get compared with our other picks
The reference price seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 for 2 adults was €84.47 per night, about €169 for both nights. The sample median was €99.61, so this is 15% below. These are not live quotes, so check today's price for your dates.
Our Budget pick, Hotel Arvor - O'Lodges by Arvor, was almost the same price at €83.82 per night, with 3 stars and a score of 8.2. Our Luxury pick, Mercure Dinan Port Le Jerzual, scores 8.8 with 4 stars at €102.81 per night.
In other words, for well under a euro more per night than the Budget pick, Marguerite brings a higher guest score. Whether breakfast is included in your rate is not confirmed.
Why it made our top 3
Dinan had only 5 eligible hotels in our comparison, a small field. Hôtel Marguerite is joint second of those 5 on guest score.
It took the Best Value slot because it balances guest score, number of reviews and price. It is not necessarily the cheapest option, but 1,363 reviews at 8.6 for a below-median rate is a strong combination.
