Hotel Boutique Casareyna is our Luxury pick in Puebla: officially five stars, with a guest score of 9.4 from 1,045 reviews. It suits couples on a city break, food lovers and families, since family rooms are listed. The property lists a spa, a pool, a restaurant, free Wi-Fi and air conditioning.
Light sleepers may want to skip it. Guests say street traffic and courtyard noise echo through the rooms because of the hard surfaces. If you need total quiet, ask about a room away from the street or consider another hotel.
Location and getting around
The address is Privada 2 Oriente 1007 Centro Comercial Paseo de San Francisco, in Puebla Centro. Guests rate the location 9.4 and say the historic centre, the Zocalo and the cathedral are a 10 to 15-minute walk away.
Our straight-line estimate agrees: Puebla Cathedral is about 0.8 km, roughly 10 minutes on foot. Other sights are much further. The International Museum of the Baroque is about 6.4 km, around 80 minutes, and La Constancia Mexicana about 7.3 km, roughly 91 minutes. For both, plan on a taxi or public transport.
What guests say
The restaurant stands out in reviews. Guests praise local dishes such as mole and chiles en nogada and describe the setting as beautiful.
The location is the other big plus, with the centre an easy walk away.
The main complaint is noise, as covered above. Because the rooms have hard surfaces, sound from the street and the courtyard carries.
Its 9.4 score was joint first among the 15 eligible properties we compared.
