Travellers who want to step out straight onto the main square will like this three-star hotel. Guests describe a central position overlooking Place des Palmistes, close to shops and local highlights.
Family rooms, free parking, air conditioning, a restaurant and a terrace are listed. That covers most needs for a short city stay.
Skip it if the on-site restaurant is a key reason for booking. Some guests describe it as disorganized and mention poor maintenance in the courtyard. Skip it too if you want the strongest guest score: at 8.0, it ranked last of the 4 eligible properties we compared, though the gap is small.
Location and getting around
The address is 12 avenue du Général de Gaulle. Location is the standout here, rated 9.3 out of 10 by guests.
Cayenne Cathedral is about 0.3 km away, roughly 4 minutes on foot. The Jardin botanique de Cayenne is 1.5 km away, about 19 minutes.
These are straight-line estimates that have not been verified, so actual routes can be longer. Even so, both are within walking range.
What guests say
The overall score is 8.0 out of 10 from 195 reviews. That is a smaller sample than Central Hotel Cayenne, which has 761.
Praise centres on the location and the staff. Guests call the team friendly, helpful and charming, and available to assist.
The criticism is about the restaurant. It is convenient, but some guests report disorganization and poor maintenance in the courtyard. Nothing in the data points to problems with the rooms themselves, but room condition has not been assessed either.
Price compared with our other two Cayenne picks
The reference price was €132.40 per night, about €264.80 for two nights. These are reference prices seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 (10 to 12 Nov) for 2 adults in one room, not live quotes. The sample median was €157.70, so this is 16% below it.
Our Budget pick, Central Hotel Cayenne, was €98.40 per night with 8.2. Our Luxury pick, Hotel Ker Alberte, was €183 per night with 8.8 and four stars.
Here you pay €34 more per night than the Budget pick for the better location score (9.3 against 8.9), a listed restaurant and a terrace. You save €50.60 per night against Ker Alberte. Check today's price for your dates, since rates change.
