Yes, it is worth booking if you want a simple, low-cost base near the beach in Motril with free parking and a breakfast guests rate well. Skip it if you are sensitive to smells or insects, since some rooms draw complaints, or if you want more comfort for a few euros more.

Hotel Estrella Del Mar is our Budget pick in Motril, a 1-star hotel. It suits drivers, beach-goers and families on a budget: free parking and family rooms are listed, and guests say the beach and restaurants are a short walk away. Pets appear in the property tags, though rules and fees are not confirmed.
Skip it if you expect the comfort of a 4-star hotel. In Motril, our other two picks are both 4-star and not much more expensive.
Location and getting around
The address is Moral S/N, and the location score is 9.0 out of 10. Guests describe a short walk to the beach and to restaurants, with a bus stop nearby.
Beach appears in the provider's facility list, but that does not confirm a beachfront position or an exact distance. We have no verified walking times to sights for this hotel. Check the map for the walk to the beach and to Motril's centre, and check bus routes and times locally.
What guests say
It scores 8.2 out of 10 from 1,241 reviews. That was joint third of the 3 eligible hotels we compared in Motril, so it is the lowest rated of our picks here.
Breakfast earns real praise. Guests mention plenty of choice, including traditional toast, cured ham and fresh orange juice. The location gets good comments too.
On cleanliness, the picture is mixed. Rooms are described as spotless and serviced daily, but some guests report bad smells or insects in certain rooms. If that happens, ask to change rooms early.
Price and how it compares with our other Motril picks
We saw €72.00 a night, about 13% below the sample median of €82.63. That is a reference price seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 for 2 adults, not a live quote, so check today's price for your dates.
Here the gap is small. Our Luxury pick, Impressive Playa Granada Golf, was €82.63 a night with a score of 8.6. Our Best Value pick, Elba Motril Beach & Business Hotel, was €92.50 with 8.5. For about €11 more per night, Impressive Playa Granada Golf gives you a 4-star hotel and a higher score. Weigh that before you settle on the cheapest option.
Listed facilities are a restaurant, free parking, family rooms, free Wi-Fi, air conditioning and a terrace. Breakfast is continental; whether it is included in your rate is not confirmed.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 3 eligible hotels in Motril. The Budget slot goes to the lowest eligible reference price after the upscale choice is set aside, and that was this hotel at €72.
A well-liked breakfast and free parking add value beyond the price alone.
Before you book
