Hotel Franks
By the Top3Hotels editorial team. Based on Booking.com guest scores and reviews, location data and reference prices. We did not stay at this hotel. Updated 2026-10-24.
Hotel Franks is worth booking if you want five stars and the best-rated location in our Oberstdorf sample, and the price is not a concern. If you want the top guest score for less, Hotel Exquisit scores 9.4 and costs €108.30 less per night.

This is the only five-star hotel among our Oberstdorf picks. It suits couples and families who want a full facility list: gym, spa, pool, restaurant, garden, terrace, family rooms and free parking are all listed.
It is also tagged as pet-friendly. The pet rules and any fees are not confirmed, so ask before you book.
Skip it if you want lots of guest feedback to go on. The 9.3 score comes from only 71 reviews, far fewer than our other two picks. Skip it too if you are price-sensitive: at €480 per night it is the most expensive of the three.
Location and getting around

We do not have verified distances to sights, lifts or the train station for this hotel. Check a map against your plans, especially if you are arriving without a car.
Free parking is listed, which helps if you drive. Confirm it for your dates.
What guests say
Hotel Franks scores 9.3 out of 10 from 71 reviews. That placed it second of the 3 eligible properties on review score, just behind Hotel Exquisit at 9.4.
Our data does not include a summary of what guests specifically like or dislike here. With a small review count, that is a real gap. Read recent reviews on the booking page to see what stands out, both good and bad, before you commit.
The breakfast list is broad: continental, vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and buffet options are named. Whether guests rate it highly is not confirmed.
Price compared with our other two Oberstdorf picks
The reference price was €480 per night, about €960 for two nights. These are reference prices seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 (10 to 12 Nov) for 2 adults in one room, not live quotes. The sample median was €371.70, so Franks sits well above it.
Hotel Exquisit, our Best Value pick, was €371.70 per night with 9.4 and four stars. Hotel Filser, our Budget pick, was €193.80 with 8.8 and four stars.
So you pay €108.30 more per night than Exquisit and €286.20 more than Filser. The extra buys the fifth star and the best location score. It does not buy a higher guest score. Check today's price for your dates.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 3 eligible properties in Oberstdorf. For the Luxury slot, five-star hotels come first, and a four-star fallback would need at least 8.5.
Hotel Franks holds an official five-star rating and a 9.3 score, so it took the slot without needing the fallback.
