For about €58.95 a night, this 3-star hotel offers a 9.8 location score and an 8.8 guest score from 1,326 reviews. The facility list includes a spa, a restaurant, free Wi-Fi and air conditioning. That is a lot for the lowest price among our three Oviedo picks, and it suits anyone who wants to explore the old town on foot.
It is less suited to travellers who sleep badly on firm beds, as some guests find the mattresses too hard. If you want a 5-star experience, our Luxury pick is only about €66 a night more.
Location and getting around
The address is Fruela, 3, in Oviedo's City Centre. Oviedo Cathedral is about 0.3 km away, roughly 4 minutes on foot. Guests also mention the old town, a park and the train station as close by.
The pre-Romanesque churches are a different story. Santa María del Naranco is 2.6 km away, about 33 minutes on foot, and San Miguel de Lillo is 2.8 km, about 35 minutes. Both are over 30 minutes, so many visitors will prefer public transport or a taxi. Walking times are straight-line estimates and have not been verified.
What guests say
Guests praise the central setting near the old town, the cathedral, the park and the station. The staff are described as friendly and helpful, giving attentive service and valet assistance, which is useful if you arrive by car.
On the negative side, opinions on the beds are split. Many guests find the mattresses comfortable, while some describe them as too firm. Breakfast is listed as buffet with gluten-free options; whether it is included in your rate is not confirmed.
