Hotel Haarhuis, WorldHotels Crafted
By the Top3Hotels editorial team. Based on Booking.com guest scores and reviews, location data and reference prices. We did not stay at this hotel. Updated 2026-10-24.
Worth booking if you want a five-star hotel right opposite Arnhem's central station with a spa and gym, at a price not far above the local median. Watch the extras, though: many guests feel rates and add-on fees are high for the quality.

Rail travellers, business visitors and couples on a short break will find the position hard to beat. The hotel has 5 official stars, a guest score of 8.6 out of 10 from 2,626 reviews and a location score of 9.4.
Facilities listed include a spa and wellness centre, a gym, a restaurant, a terrace, air conditioning and free Wi-Fi. Pets are listed as accepted. Breakfast options are continental, buffet and breakfast to go, handy for early trains.
Skip it if you judge a hotel strictly on value. A good share of guests feel the rates and add-on fees are high for what you get.
Location and getting around
The address is Stationsplein 1. Guests say it is directly opposite the central station and a short walk from the town centre.
Royal Burgers' Zoo is about 3 km away, roughly 38 minutes on foot. The Netherlands Open Air Museum is about 3.1 km, around 39 minutes. Both are over 30 minutes, so most visitors will want public transport or a taxi. Veluwezoom National Park is about 6.5 km away, some 81 minutes on foot, which is far.
Walking times are straight-line estimates and have not been verified. Being opposite the station makes onward travel easy to plan.
What guests say
Location tops the list. Stepping out of the station and into the hotel, then walking into town, is what people value most.
The staff are described as friendly and professional, with a warm welcome and helpful service.
Value is the weak point. Some guests find the price reasonable, while many think the rates and extra fees are high for the quality on offer.
Price and how it compares with our other Arnhem picks
The reference price seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026, for 2 adults in one room, was €129.57 per night, about €259 for both nights. This is not a live quote, so check today's price for your dates.
That is above the sample median of €107.83, though modest for five stars. Our Budget pick, Bastion Hotel Arnhem, was €96.18 a night with a score of 8.2. Our Best Value pick, ibis Styles Arnhem Centre, was €109.83 with the same 8.2.
For about €20 more a night than the ibis Styles you get two more stars, the highest guest score of our three picks and a spa. Add-on fees can change that sum, so price out everything you plan to use.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 6 eligible hotels in Arnhem. This one shared the top review score, and its official five-star rating gave it our Luxury slot, where five-star hotels come first.
It earns the place on rating, location and facilities. The value question is real, but at these reference prices the premium over the other picks was small.
