Hotel Hernandarias is our Budget pick for Santa Fe. It is a three-star hotel with a guest score of 8.1 from 406 reviews.
It suits travellers on a tight budget who still want a central address, plus drivers, since free parking is listed. Family rooms, a restaurant, air conditioning and free Wi-Fi are also listed.
Skip it if bathrooms matter to you. Guests describe a small layout where an ineffective shower curtain lets the floor flood easily. Its score was also the lowest of the 3 properties we compared, though the gap is small.
Location and getting around
The address is Rivadavia 2680. Guests describe a central setting near the pedestrian street, shopping areas and restaurants. The location score is 8.9.
All Saints Cathedral is about 1.4 km away, roughly 18 minutes on foot as a straight-line estimate. The real route may take a little longer.
We have no verified walking times to other sights. For anything further afield, check routes before you go. Free parking helps if you arrive by car.
What guests say
Location and breakfast lead the praise. People like being close to the pedestrian street and places to eat and shop.
Breakfast, listed as American and buffet, gets specific mentions: a varied selection with fresh fruit, honeycomb and tasty coffee.
The repeated complaint is the bathroom. It is described as small, and the shower curtain does not keep water in, so the floor floods easily. Room size, noise and renovation condition have not been assessed by us.
Price and what you get compared with our other picks
Reference prices seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 (10 to 12 Nov, 2 adults, one room) put Hotel Hernandarias at about €49.87 per night. That is around 53% below the sample median of €106.90. These are not live quotes, so check today's price for your dates.
Our Luxury pick, InterTower Hotel, is four stars, scores 8.8 and was about €106.90 per night. Our Best Value pick, Puerto Amarras Hotel & Suites, is three stars, scores 8.2 and was about €124.36.
So Hernandarias costs less than half of either alternative for a score only slightly below Puerto Amarras. If you want a clearly better-rated room, InterTower is the step up, at roughly €57 more per night.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 3 eligible properties in Santa Fe, a small sample. Hotel Hernandarias came third on guest score among them.
The Budget slot goes to the lowest eligible reference price after the upscale choice is reserved. At €49.87, with more than 400 reviews and a strong location score, it was the obvious budget option.
