Hotel Minerva

Hotel Minerva is a sensible booking for drivers, fair visitors and anyone who values a generous breakfast over a central address. If you want to step straight into the old town or expect modern rooms, the dated room quality some guests mention and the walk to the centre may put you off.

This is a practical 4-star base. It suits people arriving by car, since free parking is listed, and families, since family rooms are on the list too. Visitors to the fairgrounds are close by, according to guests.
Skip it if you want to be inside the historic centre or if room décor matters a lot to you. Some guests feel the rooms look dated for what they pay.
Location and getting around Arezzo
The address is Via Fiorentina 4, near the fairgrounds. Arezzo Cathedral and the Basilica of San Francesco are each about 1.5 km away, roughly 19 minutes on foot. Santa Maria della Pieve is about 1.7 km away, around 21 minutes. These are straight-line estimates.
Guests describe the walk to the historic centre as flat and taking 15 to 20 minutes, which matches the figures above. It is doable for most people, but this is not a doorstep-of-the-old-town location. The location score is 8.5 out of 10, the lowest of this hotel's numbers.
What guests say
Hotel Minerva has 8.6 out of 10 from 2,263 reviews, a large base for a city of this size. That score placed it 2nd of the 5 eligible hotels we compared.
Breakfast is the standout. Guests describe an abundant buffet with sweet and savoury items, fresh fruit and barista-made coffee. The listing covers continental, Italian, full English/Irish, vegetarian, gluten-free and American options.
The weak point is value for some reviewers. Rates are seen as reasonable for the area, but several guests feel the price is too high for rooms they describe as dated.
Price and how it compares with our other picks
The reference price was €115 per night, about €230 for the stay. These are reference prices seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 for 2 adults, not live quotes. Check today's price for your dates.
That was 28% below the sample median of €160.68. Our Budget pick, Etrusco Arezzo Hotel - Sure Hotel Collection by Best Western, was €101 per night, with 8.5 and 4 stars. Our Best Value pick, Hotel Continentale, was €160.68 per night with 8.5 and 4 stars, but in a more central spot.
So in Arezzo the Luxury pick sat in the middle on price. You pay about €14 a night more than the Budget option for a slightly higher score, and about €46 a night less than Hotel Continentale, which is much closer to the sights.
Listed facilities include free Wi-Fi, a restaurant, a fitness centre, free parking, family rooms and air conditioning.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 5 eligible hotels in Arezzo. No 5-star hotel took the Luxury slot, so it went to a 4-star hotel with a score of at least 8.5, our rule for that fallback. Hotel Minerva has an official 4-star rating and 8.6.
