Iberostar Heritage Grand Mencey
By the Top3Hotels editorial team. Based on Booking.com guest scores and reviews, location data and reference prices. We did not stay at this hotel. Updated 2026-10-24.
It is worth booking if you want a 5-star hotel with a spa and gym in a quiet area within walking distance of the centre. Skip it if you expect fresh, modern rooms at this price, since guests mention worn interiors and extra charges for facilities.

This is our Luxury pick for Santa Cruz de Tenerife. It suits couples and travellers who want a calm base, a spa and a gym, and a short walk into town. A restaurant, air conditioning and free Wi-Fi are also listed.
It suits travellers less if they want every extra included or a recently updated room. Guests describe a historic building but note extra charges for facilities and worn room interiors. No parking is listed, so drivers should check before booking.
Location and getting around
The address is Dr. José Naveiras, 38, 38004 Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Spain. Guests describe a quiet residential area next to a large park, a short walk from the centre, and rate the location 9.2 out of 10.
Iglesia de la Concepción (Santa Cruz de Tenerife) is 1.2 km away, about 15 minutes on foot. La Laguna is a different trip: the Real Santuario del Cristo de La Laguna is 6.1 km away, about 76 minutes on foot, and the Cathedral of La Laguna is 6.3 km, about 79 minutes. Both are far, so plan on public transport or a taxi. Walking times are straight-line estimates.
What guests say
The score is 8.9 out of 10 from 1,880 reviews. On review score, it ranks 6th of 23 eligible properties in the provider sample.
Guests like the quiet setting by the park and the easy walk to the centre. Staff are described as friendly and professional, with a warm welcome and attentive service.
The criticism is about value. Guests mention extra charges for facilities and room interiors that look worn. Ask what the spa and gym cost before you arrive.
Price compared with our other Santa Cruz picks
The reference price seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 (10 to 12 November, 2 adults, one room) was €162.80 a night, 34% above the sample median of €121.52. It is not a live quote. Check today's price for your dates.
Our Budget pick, Mapango Small Rooms, was €65 a night with a 7.5 score and no official star rating. Our Best Value pick, Emblemático F24-Only Adults B&B, was €107.16 a night with a 9.2 score, also without an official star rating.
The B&B scores higher and costs about €56 less a night, but it is adults only and has no star rating. The Mencey gives you 5 stars, a spa, a gym and a restaurant, with the caveats above.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 23 hotels in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Among the eligible upscale options, this 5-star hotel had the strongest review-confidence score, combining an 8.9 rating with 1,880 reviews.
That large review base gives a clearer picture than a high score from a handful of guests.
Before you book
Breakfast is listed as buffet. Whether it is included in your rate is not confirmed.
Ask about charges for the spa and gym, and about parking if you drive. Read the cancellation terms. Room size, noise and renovation condition have not been assessed, and guest comments on worn rooms make that worth checking.
