ibis budget Epinal
By the Top3Hotels editorial team. Based on Booking.com guest scores and reviews, location data and reference prices. We did not stay at this hotel. Updated 2026-10-24.
ibis budget Epinal is worth booking if you want a clean, modern and cheap room with free parking, and you do not mind a 25-minute walk to the basilica. If you want to stay closer to the sights or in a 4-star, our other two picks cost more but give you that.

This is our Budget pick in Épinal. It suits drivers, people on a road trip and anyone who wants a spotless room for a fair price. Free parking is listed, which helps if you arrive by car.
Skip it if you care about the details of a good night's sleep. Guests find the mattresses comfortable but the pillows soft, and the bunk beds feel thin. It is a 2-star hotel, so expect a simple room rather than extras.
Location and getting around
The address is Za De La Roche - Rue Des Rapailles. Guests give the location 8.4 out of 10, lower than many of the hotels we pick, so it is worth looking at a map before booking.
The Basilica of Saint Maurice (Épinal) is 2 km away, about 25 minutes on foot as a straight-line estimate. Real walking routes may be longer, and distances have not been verified. No other sights are listed in our data, so if you plan to explore beyond the centre, a car, a taxi or public transport will help.
What guests say
The hotel scores 8.3 out of 10 from 1,228 reviews. On review score it was joint 2nd of 5 eligible properties in the provider sample, which is a strong result for a budget chain hotel.
Guests mainly praise two things. The breakfast buffet is varied, with fresh croissants and plenty of choice. The rooms are modern, fresh and spotless, kept in new condition.
The main complaint is about beds. Mattresses are comfortable, but pillows are soft and the bunk beds feel thin. If you are sharing a room with bunks, keep that in mind.
Price and what you get compared with our other picks
Reference prices seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 (10 to 12 Nov, 2 adults, one room) were €73.40 per night, 27% below the sample median of €99.93. These are not live quotes, so check today's price for your dates.
For that you get a 2-star room with free Wi-Fi and air conditioning, free parking and a terrace, as listed by the property.
Our Best Value pick, Mercure Epinal Centre, is a 4-star that scored 8.2 at €113.14 per night. Our Luxury pick, Best Western Plus La Fayette Hotel et SPA, is also 4 stars with 8.7 at €127.75 per night. Here you save about €40 a night against the Mercure, with a similar score but a lower star rating.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 5 hotels in Épinal. The ibis budget had the lowest eligible reference price once the upscale choice was set aside, and it backs that price with an 8.3 from more than 1,200 reviews. Guests repeatedly mention cleanliness, which is what you want from a budget room.
Before you book
Room size, noise, renovation condition, breakfast inclusion and cancellation terms have not been assessed. Check them on your rate.
Pets appear in the hotel's tags, but the policy and any fee are not confirmed. Ask the hotel if you travel with an animal. If you need a double bed rather than bunks, check the room type carefully.
