Ibis Kaunas Centre
By the Top3Hotels editorial team. Based on Booking.com guest scores and reviews, location data and reference prices. We did not stay at this hotel. Updated 2026-10-24.
It is worth booking if the lowest price matters most and you are fine with a longer walk to the Old Town. If you can spend about €2.40 more a night, our Best Value pick scores higher and sits closer to the sights.

Price-led travellers are the natural fit. This 3-star hotel scores 8.1 out of 10 from 2,001 reviews, and guests like the breakfast and the nearby shopping.
Family rooms are listed, and the property is tagged as pet friendly. The pet policy and any fee are not confirmed, so check first.
If cleanliness is a sore point for you, read recent reviews carefully. Some guests report dust, cobwebs, insects or bad smells in rooms. Travellers who want to walk everywhere in the Old Town may also prefer a more central base.
Location and getting around
The hotel sits at Vytauto prospektas 28. Guests say the city centre, supermarkets and the Akropolis shopping mall are within walking distance. The location score is 8.9.
Old Town sights take longer. Kaunas Cathedral Basilica is about 2.6 km, roughly 33 minutes on foot, and Kaunas Castle about 2.9 km, around 36 minutes. Both are over half an hour, so many people will want public transport or a taxi, especially in November weather.
The Ninth Fort is about 7.1 km away, roughly 89 minutes on foot. That is far, and you will need public transport or a taxi. All times are straight-line estimates.
What guests say
Breakfast earns the clearest praise. The buffet offers a wide choice of hot and cold food, and it is served as continental and buffet.
Location also gets good marks, mostly for shops, supermarkets and the mall rather than the historic sights.
The weak spot is cleanliness. Rooms are mostly tidy, but some guests found dust, cobwebs, insects or unpleasant odours. Room size and noise have not been assessed.
Price and value compared with our other Kaunas picks
The reference price was about €72.68 a night, seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 for 2 adults. It is not a live quote. That is about 18% below the sample median of €88.30.
Our Best Value pick, Moxy Kaunas Center, was about €75.10 a night with a score of 8.8. That is a very small gap for a noticeably higher score and a shorter walk to the cathedral.
Our Luxury pick, Kaunas, a 4-star hotel scoring 9.1, was about €117.75 a night, roughly €45 more than here.
Listed facilities include free Wi-Fi, air conditioning and a 24-hour front desk. Whether breakfast is included in your rate is not confirmed. Check today's price for your dates, because the small gap with the Moxy can change.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 8 eligible hotels in Kaunas. On review score, this one shared last place in that sample, so it is not here for top ratings.
It is our Budget choice because €72.68 a night was the lowest eligible reference price after the upscale pick was set aside. An 8.1 is still a decent score for a budget room.
Before you book
Compare today's price with Moxy Kaunas Center. If the gap is still only a few euros, the Moxy may be the better deal.
Check whether breakfast is included and confirm the cancellation terms, which were not assessed. If you bring a pet, ask about the policy and fees. If cleanliness worries you, ask for a recently cleaned room on arrival.
