Yes, it is worth booking if you want a central, well rated base in Kaunas for a little more than the cheapest option. It suits couples and city breakers who will walk to the Old Town and do not mind a busy breakfast room.

Guests give it 8.8 out of 10 across 6,196 reviews, which is a large and steady sample. The location score is 9.6, the strongest point in the data.
Couples, solo travellers and small families should feel at home here. Family rooms are listed, and the property is tagged as pet friendly, though the pet policy and any fee are not confirmed, so ask before you book.
Skip it if a calm breakfast matters a lot to you. Guests say the dining area gets crowded and tables are sometimes left dirty. Travellers who want a 4-star feel should look at our Luxury pick instead.
Location and getting around
The address is Maironio street 19. Guests like being close to the main pedestrian street, shops and the Old Town.
Kaunas Cathedral Basilica is about 1.3 km away, roughly 16 minutes on foot. Kaunas Castle is about 1.6 km, around 20 minutes. Both are easy walks for most people.
The Ninth Fort is a different story. At 5.7 km it is roughly 71 minutes on foot, so it is far, and you will need public transport or a taxi. All walking times here are straight-line estimates, so real routes can take longer.
What guests say
Two themes stand out in the praise. The first is location, with the pedestrian street and Old Town close by. The second is the staff, described as friendly and multilingual, with a warm welcome and helpful service.
The main complaint is breakfast. The buffet has good variety, but the room fills up and some tables are not cleared quickly.
Room size, noise levels and the state of the rooms have not been assessed, so read recent reviews for those details.
Price and value against our other Kaunas picks
The reference price was about €75.10 a night. That is a reference price seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 for 2 adults, not a live quote. It sits about 15% below the sample median of €88.30.
Our Budget pick, Ibis Kaunas Centre, came in at about €72.68 a night with a guest score of 8.1. So for roughly €2.40 more per night, the Moxy gives you a clearly higher score and a better rated location.
Our Luxury pick, Kaunas, a 4-star hotel scoring 9.1, was about €117.75 a night. That is around €42 more per night for a higher score and an extra star.
Listed facilities include free Wi-Fi, a fitness centre and air conditioning. Breakfast is a buffet, but whether it is included in your rate is not confirmed. Check today's price for your dates before deciding.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 8 eligible hotels in Kaunas. This one shared the second highest review score in that group.
It is our Best Value choice because it balances score, number of reviews and price. The gap to the Budget pick is small, while the gap in guest satisfaction is real.
Before you book
Check whether breakfast is included and what it costs if not. Confirm cancellation terms, since they were not assessed.
If you travel with a pet, ask about the policy and any charges.
Finally, check today's price, since the reference stay is from November 2026 and rates move.
