By the Top3Hotels editorial team. Based on Booking.com guest scores and reviews, location data and reference prices. We did not stay at this hotel. Updated 2026-10-24.
L'Amirauté Brest is worth booking if you want a central 4-star hotel near the station and trams at a price close to the city median. If you do not need the fourth star or the gym, our Best Value pick scores higher for slightly less.

This is our Luxury pick for Brest, and it is a modest version of luxury. It is a 4-star hotel (official rating) with a restaurant, a gym, air conditioning and family rooms listed. No spa or pool appears in our data. It suits business travellers, rail arrivals and couples who want a quiet room in a central spot.
Skip it if you expect resort facilities. Skip it also if you plan to drive and want parking that connects straight to the building, as guests find the car park awkward.
Location and getting around
The address is 41, Rue Branda. Guests describe a central setting near shops, the train station and tram stops, and say it stays quiet. They rate the location 8.6 out of 10.
Château de Brest and Tour Tanguy are each 1.6 km away, about 20 minutes on foot. Pont de l'Iroise is 6.2 km away, about 78 minutes, which is far, so take public transport or a taxi there. All walking times are straight-line estimates.
What guests say
The score is 8.8 out of 10 from 920 reviews. Guests like the location, central but calm, with shops, the station and tram stops close by. The team is described as friendly, professional and helpful, with a warm welcome.
The main complaint concerns parking. The underground spaces are secure, but guests find the layout confusing and note that the car park is not directly connected to the hotel. We have not assessed room size, noise or renovation condition.
Price and what you get, compared with our other Brest picks
The reference price was €118.14 per night, about €236 for a 2-night stay in November 2026 for 2 adults. The sample median was €108.79, so this is only a little above it for a 4-star hotel. It is a reference price seen for those dates, not a live quote. Check today's price for your dates.
Breakfast is listed as continental and buffet. Inclusion in your rate is not confirmed, and the parking fee, if any, is not confirmed either.
Logis Hotel Center, our Budget pick, is a 3-star scoring 8.1 at €74.76 per night. Abalys Hotel, our Best Value pick, is also 3 stars but scores 9.1 at €108.38. That is a higher score for about €10 less a night. Choose this hotel for the fourth star, the gym and the restaurant, not for the guest score.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 12 eligible hotels in Brest. For the Luxury slot we put 5-star hotels first, and a 4-star hotel qualifies only with a score of at least 8.5. With 8.8, joint second of the 12 on review score, this hotel cleared that bar and took the place.
Before you book
If you drive, ask how to reach the car park, what it costs and how far it is from the entrance. Check whether breakfast is included in your rate.
Compare your dates with Abalys Hotel, since it was cheaper and better rated in our data. Read the cancellation terms, which we have not assessed.
