This is our Best Value pick in Newcastle. It is a 4-star hotel that suits couples and business travellers who care about a good bed and an easy walk to food and the waterfront. Listed facilities include a restaurant, a fitness centre, free Wi-Fi and air conditioning.
It is less suited to anyone who needs space or drives in. Some guests find rooms small, and parking fees come up as a complaint. Family rooms are not listed in our data.
Location and getting around
The address is 44 Honeysuckle Drive. Guests rate the location 9.5 out of 10 and say it is close to the harbour, the light rail and the Honeysuckle dining precinct.
Beach appears in the provider facilities, but that does not confirm a beachfront location or any walking distance to a beach. We do not have verified distances to specific sights, so map your plans before booking.
What guests say
The score is 9.2 out of 10 from 3,904 guest reviews, the joint top score among 5 eligible hotels in our sample, and from a very large group of guests.
Beds get specific praise: large, soft mattresses and high-quality pillows. Location is the other strong theme.
Value for money is where opinions split. Some guests think the rates are reasonable, while others point to high parking fees and small rooms. Breakfast is listed as continental, full English or Irish, vegetarian, gluten-free and American. Whether it is included in your rate is not confirmed.

Why it made our top 3
We compared 5 eligible hotels in Newcastle. Our Best Value slot balances guest score, number of reviews and price, not just the lowest rate. A 9.2 score from almost 3,900 reviews and a 9.5 location rating at a median price made this the strongest all-round option.
Before you book
