This is our Best Value pick in Tilburg, a 4-star hotel at Heuvel 37. It suits city-break travellers, concert-goers and anyone arriving by train who wants to walk to shops and restaurants.
The listing includes a gym, a pool, a restaurant, family rooms, free Wi-Fi, air conditioning and a terrace.
Skip it if value for money is your main test. Many guests like the position but find the rates for rooms and breakfast on the high side.
Location and getting around
Heuvel 37 puts you right next to Heuvelse kerk, about 0.1 km or one minute on foot. Guests rate the location 9.3 out of 10 and mention the train station, shops, restaurants and the 013 venue as close by.
Koningshoeven Abbey is about 3.1 km away, roughly 39 minutes on foot as a straight-line estimate. Safaripark Beekse Bergen is about 4.4 km, roughly 55 minutes. Both are far on foot, so plan on public transport or a taxi.
What guests say
The score is 8.3 out of 10 from 2,673 reviews. That placed it joint third among the 4 eligible properties in the provider sample.
The breakfast buffet wins praise for its range, fresh options and tasty hot dishes. Listed styles are continental, vegetarian, gluten-free, American and buffet, which helps if you have dietary needs.
The central position is the other big plus. The main criticism is cost: many guests feel room and breakfast prices are high.
Price and how it compares with our other Tilburg picks
Reference prices seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 for 2 adults were €180.57 a night, about €361 in total. These are not live quotes, so check today's price for your dates.
That is close to the sample median of €177.79. Tilburg was an expensive sample, and all three picks sat in a narrow band.
Van der Valk Hotel Gilze-Tilburg, our Budget pick, was €159.26 a night with a score of 8.4. Van der Valk Hotel Tilburg, our Luxury pick, was €182.76 with 8.8. This hotel scores lowest of the three, so its case rests on the central location and walkability rather than the rating.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 4 hotels in Tilburg. This one combined a location score of 9.3 with one of the largest review counts in the sample and a price near the median.
Best Value is about balance, not the lowest price or the highest score. If you prefer a higher rating, the Luxury pick costs only about €2 more per night on these reference prices.
Before you book
Room size, noise, renovation condition, breakfast inclusion and cancellation terms have not been assessed. A central square can mean street noise, so read recent reviews if you sleep lightly.
Check whether breakfast is in your rate, since guests find it pricey if bought separately.
Confirm pool and gym opening times and any fees for your dates. Parking is not confirmed in our data, so ask the hotel if you are driving.
