By the Top3Hotels editorial team. Based on Booking.com guest scores and reviews, location data and reference prices. We did not stay at this hotel. Updated 2026-10-24.
Worth booking if you want the cheapest well-rated option among our Lille picks and do not mind a 25-minute walk to the main sights. If you want to step out of the door into the old town, or you want detailed guest feedback before you commit, look at our other two picks.

This is our Budget pick in Lille. It suits travellers watching their spend who still want a solid guest score, and families, since family rooms are listed. Air conditioning, free Wi-Fi and a 24-hour front desk are also on the list.
It is a weaker fit if you want to be in the historic centre. The hotel is in Fives, and the main sights in our data are around 25 minutes away on foot. It may also not suit you if you like to read plenty of specific guest comments first: our data has no summary of what guests particularly liked or disliked here.
Location and getting around
The address is 260 Rue de la Vinaigrerie, in the Fives area. The location score is 8.5 out of 10.
Lille Cathedral is about 1.9 km away, roughly 24 minutes on foot. The Palais des Beaux-Arts de Lille is 2 km away, about 25 minutes. The Lille Métropole Museum of Modern, Contemporary and Outsider Art is 4.2 km away, around 53 minutes walking, which is far; you will need public transport or a taxi for that one. These are straight-line estimates and have not been checked on the ground, so real walks may be longer. The name mentions the stations, but our data does not give a distance to them, so check a map if you are arriving by train.
What guests say
The score is 8.6 out of 10 from 360 reviews. That is a good result and it placed the hotel joint third of 11 eligible properties on guest score. The review count is moderate, so a few recent reviews can move the average.
We do not have a summary of specific likes or dislikes for this property. Room size, noise, condition and cleanliness have not been assessed. Read the most recent reviews on the booking site before you decide, with an eye on the points that matter most to you.
Price and how it compares with our other two picks
The reference price was €63.52 per night. These are reference prices seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 for 2 adults, not live quotes, so check today's price for your dates.
Our Best Value pick, Hotel De La Paix, was €92.52 per night with a score of 8.4. Our Luxury pick, Hôtel Barrière Lille, a 5-star, was €205.40 per night with a score of 8.7. The Montempô costs about €29 a night less than the Best Value option and scores slightly higher. Against the Luxury pick the saving is around €142 a night for a score just 0.1 lower, though you give up five-star service.
A continental breakfast is listed. Whether it is included in your rate is not confirmed.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 11 eligible hotels in Lille. After reserving the upscale slot, this was the lowest eligible reference price, and it was 20% below the sample median of €79.17 per night. A score of 8.6 at that price is what earned it the Budget slot.
Before you book
Check whether breakfast is included and read the cancellation terms. Families should confirm the family room layout. If you plan to visit the modern art museum or other sights further out, budget for transport. Compare the live price with the €63.52 reference.
