NH Collection León Plaza Mayor
By the Top3Hotels editorial team. Based on Booking.com guest scores and reviews, location data and reference prices. We did not stay at this hotel. Updated 2026-10-24.
Yes, this is an easy booking for most visitors to León: a 9.1 guest score, a Plaza Mayor address and the cathedral about 3 minutes away on foot. Drivers with a large car should read the parking notes first, and travellers on a tight budget will find a cheaper pick below.

This is our Best Value pick in León. It is a 4-star hotel on Plaza Mayor, 15, in the old town, with a gym, restaurant, family rooms, free Wi-Fi and air conditioning listed by the property.
It suits first-time visitors who want to step out of the door and be among the main sights. Couples, families and solo travellers will all find the location works.
Who should skip it? If every euro counts, our Budget pick costs about half as much. If you are arriving by car and dislike tight underground parking, factor that in, because guests flag it as the main weak point.
Location and getting around
Location is the standout. Guests give it 9.8 out of 10, and they describe a central setting on Plaza Mayor, a short walk from the cathedral and the old town.
León Cathedral is about 0.2 km away, roughly 3 minutes on foot. San Isidoro is about 0.6 km, around 8 minutes. The Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Castilla y León is about 1.7 km away, around 21 minutes, still a reasonable walk.
These times are straight-line estimates and have not been verified, so real routes through the old streets can take a little longer.
What guests say
The hotel scores 9.1 out of 10 from 1,808 reviews. Among the 5 hotels we compared, that put it joint 2nd of 5.
Two things come up again and again. The first is the location. The second is the staff, described as friendly and professional, with a warm welcome and helpful local advice.
The complaint is about parking. There is a convenient underground car park nearby, but guests say the spaces are tight and the access is narrow.
Price and what you get, compared with our other two picks
Reference prices seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 (10 to 12 November, 2 adults, one room) were €115.50 per night. The sample median was €98.10, so this hotel sat a little above it. These are not live quotes, so check today's price for your dates.
Our Budget pick, ARVA Spa París, scored 8.3 with 3 stars at €57 per night. Our Luxury pick, Parador de Turismo de León, scored 9.4 with 5 stars at €164.90 per night.
Here you pay about €58 more than the Budget pick for a much higher score and the Plaza Mayor address, and about €49 less than the Parador.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 5 eligible hotels in León. The Best Value slot balances guest score, number of reviews and reference price; it is not simply the cheapest option. A 9.1 from over 1,800 reviews, a 9.8 location score and a mid-range price made this hotel the clearest balance of the three.
Before you book
Room size, noise, renovation condition and cancellation terms have not been assessed. A Plaza Mayor address can mean street life outside, so if you sleep lightly, ask for a quieter room.
Breakfast options include Continental, vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, American and buffet, but inclusion in your rate is not confirmed. If you are bringing a pet, confirm the policy and fees. If you drive, ask about parking costs and the car park entrance before you arrive.
