This is our Budget pick in Portrush. It is a 3-star hotel with a guest score of 8.2 out of 10 from 2,828 reviews.
It suits travellers on a tight budget who want to be near the shops and restaurants and value a hearty breakfast. The property is tagged as pet-friendly and lists family rooms, both of which you should confirm.
Skip it if you care about modern rooms. Some guests feel the facilities are dated, and the score was the lowest of the 5 properties we compared.
Location and getting around
The address is 73 Main Street. Guests rate the location 9.4 out of 10 and describe a central setting near the beach, shops and restaurants, with sea views.
Beach appears in the property's facility list. That does not confirm a beachfront position or a walking time to the sand, so check a map.
Dunluce Castle is about 4.8 km away, around 60 minutes on foot. That is far, so plan on public transport or a taxi.
The walking time is a straight-line estimate and has not been verified.
What guests say
Location comes first in the praise. Reviewers like being close to the beach, shops and places to eat.
Breakfast is the other highlight. Guests describe a buffet with a wide range of hot and tasty options.
The main criticism is about value. Some guests find the rates affordable, while others say the dated facilities do not justify the cost. Your view will depend on what you expect from a 3-star hotel.

Why it made our top 3
