Premier Inn Duisburg City Altstadt

By the Top3Hotels editorial team. Based on Booking.com guest scores and reviews, location data and reference prices. We did not stay at this hotel. Updated 2026-10-24.

It is a sound booking if you want a well-reviewed 3-star in the Altstadt with a big breakfast choice. Check prices first, though: on our reference dates our Luxury pick was cheaper and better rated, so this only makes sense if it beats that on your dates.

Who it suits and who should skip it

This is our Best Value pick in Duisburg. It is a 3-star hotel in the Altstadt that suits couples and business travellers who want a central, predictable stay with air conditioning, a restaurant and a 24-hour front desk.

Skip it if price is the deciding factor on your dates. Our Budget pick was much cheaper, and our Luxury pick was cheaper too, with a higher score. Families should note that family rooms are not listed in our data, and free Wi-Fi is not among the listed facilities either, so check both.

Location and getting around

The address is Oberstraße 2, in the Altstadt. Guests rate the location 9.1 out of 10, the strongest number here.

By straight-line estimate, the Lehmbruck Museum is about 0.6 km away, around 8 minutes on foot. Duisburg Zoo is 2.8 km away, roughly 35 minutes, and Landschaftspark Duisburg-Nord is 5.1 km away, about 64 minutes. Both of those are far, so plan on public transport or a taxi. These walking times are estimates, not verified routes. Parking is not listed in our data.

What guests say

The score is 8.6 out of 10 from 1,765 guest reviews, joint 2nd of 6 eligible hotels in our sample. That is a solid result from a large group of guests.

We do not have summarised themes of what guests like or dislike here. So we cannot tell you whether people praise the beds or complain about noise. Read a handful of recent reviews before booking, especially on room size and street noise in the old town.

Price and what you get compared with our other picks

Reference prices seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 for 2 adults were €103.50 a night, about €207 for both nights. The sample median was €94.50, so it sat slightly above the middle. These are not live quotes. Check today's price for your dates.

Here is the awkward part. Our Luxury pick, Twins Hotel, a 4-star scoring 9.0, was €85.50 a night on the same dates. Our Budget pick, Campanile Duisburg City, a 3-star scoring 8.0, was €59. Rates move a lot by date, so compare all three before you commit.

Breakfast is listed as continental, full English or Irish, and buffet. Whether it is included in your rate is not confirmed.

Why it made our top 3

We compared 6 eligible hotels in Duisburg. Our Best Value slot balances guest score, number of reviews and price, and is not meant to be the cheapest. With 8.6 from over 1,700 reviews and a 9.1 location score, this hotel ranked best on that balance, even though another pick was cheaper on these specific dates.
