This is our Luxury pick in Duisburg. With no five-star hotel qualifying, the slot went to a four-star property with a high guest score. It suits couples, families and business travellers who want a central base with free parking, family rooms, air conditioning and a terrace.
Skip it if you expect full luxury extras. No pool, spa or gym is listed. Also note that the four-star rating is estimated by the accommodation rather than official.
Location and getting around
The address is Steinsche G. 75 in Dellviertel. Guests describe a central setting near the city centre, a U-Bahn station and the Theater am Marientor. The location score is 8.9 out of 10.
The Lehmbruck Museum is about 0.6 km away, around 8 minutes on foot. Duisburg Zoo is about 3.3 km, roughly 41 minutes, and Landschaftspark Duisburg-Nord about 5.7 km, roughly 71 minutes. Those two are far, so use public transport or a taxi. Walking times are straight-line estimates and have not been verified.
What guests say
The score is 9.0 out of 10 from 1,520 reviews. Staff are the most frequent compliment. Guests call the team friendly, helpful and welcoming, and mention the 24-hour reception.
Location is the other common positive. The main complaint concerns beds. Many find them comfortable, but some say the mattresses are hard or the pillows too thin. If you sleep badly on a firm bed, keep that in mind.
Price and what you get compared with our other picks
Reference prices seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026, for 2 adults in one room, put Twins Hotel at €85.50 per night, about €171 for both nights. The sample median was €94.50, so it came in 10% below. These are not live quotes. Check today's price for your dates.
Here the Luxury pick is not the most expensive. Our Best Value pick, Premier Inn Duisburg City Altstadt, is three stars with an 8.6 score at €103.50 per night. The Budget pick, Campanile Duisburg City, is three stars with an 8.0 score at €59. Twins Hotel offers the highest score of the three at a mid-range price, which makes it a strong option for most travellers.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 6 eligible properties in Duisburg. Our Luxury slot prioritises five-star hotels, and a four-star fallback must score at least 8.5. Twins Hotel shared the top review score in the sample at 9.0, well above that bar.
