This is our Budget pick in Göttingen. It suits travellers who want a reliable room, a good breakfast and an easy walk to the train station and old town, without paying for extras they will not use.
The facilities list is short: a restaurant and a 24-hour front desk. There is no gym, spa or pool in our data, and free Wi-Fi and air conditioning are not confirmed either. If any of these matter, check before booking.
If you arrive by car and need a guaranteed space, think twice or plan a backup.
Location and getting around
The address is Carl-Zeiss-Str. 1. Guests describe a quiet spot by the river, within walking distance of the train station and the city centre. The location score is 8.6 out of 10.
Gänseliesel, in the old town, is about 1.2 km away, roughly 15 minutes on foot. Plesse Castle is about 7.2 km, around 90 minutes, which is far, so you will need public transport or a taxi. Walking times are straight-line estimates.
What guests say
The score is 8.4 out of 10 from 4,920 reviews, joint third among the 7 eligible properties we compared. It has the biggest review count of our three Göttingen picks.
Breakfast is often mentioned. The data lists continental, full English or Irish and buffet styles, and guests describe hot and cold choices such as pancakes, eggs, fruit and cake.
Parking is the main complaint. There are spaces on site, but not many, and guests say they often fill up quickly.

If you drive, ask the hotel about parking availability and charges, and find a public car park nearby as a fallback.
