This is our Budget pick for Alba. It suits drivers, couples and families who want peace, greenery and a cheap room, and who plan to spend their days touring the area by car.

What guests say
Guests rate the property 8.5 out of 10 from 332 reviews, which placed it joint fourth of the 6 eligible properties in our sample. A fair score, though based on fewer reviews than larger hotels.
The quiet is the main draw. Guests describe peaceful surroundings among greenery and vineyards, well away from town noise.
Breakfast gets mixed comments. Homemade cakes and local products are appreciated, but some guests found items missing, such as cereal.
Price and what you get compared with our other picks
The reference price was €68.00 per night, seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 for 2 adults. That is €136 for both nights and 69% below the sample median of €221.28. Check today's price for your dates, since autumn in the Langhe can be busy.
For that you get free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, free parking, a garden and a terrace. Breakfast is listed as Italian, with a breakfast-to-go option, but whether it is included in your rate is not confirmed.
Our Best Value pick, Hotel Calissano, scored 9.1 at about €363 per night. Our Luxury pick, Hotel Giacomo Morra Alba - Handwritten Collection, scored 9.2 at about €239.55 per night. Both are 4-star hotels with higher scores. The saving here is large, but you give up being in town.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 6 hotels in and around Alba. Residence La Quiete took the Budget slot because €68.00 per night was the lowest eligible reference price after the upscale choice was set aside.
An 8.5 score and a 9.0 location rating at well under a third of the median price made it the clear budget option.
