Roomzzz Manchester City

By the Top3Hotels editorial team. Based on Booking.com guest scores and reviews, location data and reference prices. We did not stay at this hotel. Updated 2026-10-24.

Roomzzz Manchester City is worth booking if you want a central, 4-star base near Chinatown at the lowest price among our Manchester picks and can live with mixed reports on cleanliness. If spotless rooms matter most, pay a little more for our Best Value pick, which scores higher.

Who it suits and who should skip it

Short city breaks are the natural use for this place: shopping, galleries, a night out, then back to bed. It has 4 stars, family rooms, free Wi-Fi, air conditioning and a 24-hour front desk, and pets appear in the property tags, which helps if you travel with a dog. Confirm the pet policy and any fee directly.

People who are sensitive to cleanliness should think twice. Its guest score is the lowest of our three Manchester choices, and the main complaint concerns room cleanliness. Breakfast details are not in our data, so do not count on it.

Location and getting around

The address is 36 Princess Street, in the Chinatown area, and guests rate the location 9.4. Manchester Art Gallery is about 0.1 km away, around a 1-minute walk. Manchester Cathedral is about 0.9 km, roughly 11 minutes, and Manchester Museum about 1.3 km, roughly 16 minutes.

Please treat those times with caution. They are straight-line estimates, and the provider notes that walking times and distances to attractions here have not been verified. Guests say shops and public transport links are close. Parking is not mentioned in the data, so check if you plan to drive.

What guests say

The score is 8.2 out of 10 from 1,254 reviews. Praise centres on two things. The location is called central, close to Chinatown, shops and transport. The staff are described as friendly and efficient, with a warm welcome.

The recurring complaint is room cleanliness. Many guests find rooms tidy, but some report mould, dust and stained carpets. This is worth taking seriously, and it is the clearest reason to read recent reviews before you commit.

Price and how it compares with our other Manchester picks

The reference price was €101.74 per night, seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 for 2 adults in one room, about €203 in total. That was 28% below the median of the hotels sampled. It is not a live quote, so check today's price for your dates.

Here is the honest catch: our Best Value pick, Cove Minshull Street, was only €114.47 per night, about €13 more, and it scores 9.0. Our Luxury pick, Dakota Manchester, a 5-star hotel, was €358.11 with a 9.2. If the price gap to Cove is still small on your dates, many travellers will prefer it.

Why it made our top 3

We compared 16 candidate hotels in Manchester. Once the upscale choice was set aside, Roomzzz had the lowest eligible reference price. On guest score it sat joint 15 of 16, so it earns its place on price and location, not on reviews.
