Signia by Hilton San Jose is worth booking if you want a 5-star base downtown with a pool, gym and restaurant, and you value staff service. If the guest score is what matters most, our cheaper Best Value pick rated higher, so this is a choice about category and location rather than reviews.

Skip it if the pool is the main reason you are booking. Guests say it is often closed for private events without notice. Skip it too if you want the highest-rated stay in town for the money, because it sat in position 8 of 10 on reviews.

All walking times are straight-line estimates and have not been verified by the property.
What guests say
The score is 8.0 out of 10 from 387 reviews. That is a fair result but not a standout in this city.
The praise is clear. Guests like the central downtown spot, and they describe the staff as friendly, professional and attentive, with specific mentions of the valet and the bellmen.
The complaint is specific too. The pool is called attractive and relaxing, but it is frequently closed for private events, and guests say they were not told in advance.
