Stadthotel Münster
By the Top3Hotels editorial team. Based on Booking.com guest scores and reviews, location data and reference prices. We did not stay at this hotel. Updated 2026-10-24.
Book it if you want to walk everywhere in central Münster and value a big breakfast buffet more than a spacious room. Skip it if you need room to spread out, or if price matters most, because our Budget pick scored slightly higher for about half the rate.

Stadthotel Münster is our Best Value pick in Münster. It is a 3-star hotel at Aegidiistraße 21, listing family rooms, free Wi-Fi, air conditioning and a 24-hour front desk.
It suits city-break travellers who want the cathedral, the art museum and the palace all within a 10-minute walk. Breakfast lovers will also do well here.
It is less suited to people who need space. Guests often describe the rooms as small, with limited wardrobe space, which matters on longer stays or if you travel with a lot of luggage.
Location and getting around
Guests rate the location 9.5 out of 10 and describe it as central, within easy walking distance of the old town and shops.
The Westphalian State Museum of Art and Cultural History is about 0.4 km away, roughly 5 minutes on foot. Münster Cathedral is about 0.5 km, around 6 minutes. Schloss Münster is about 0.8 km, around 10 minutes.
Everything in our data is a short walk. The times are straight-line estimates and have not been verified.
What guests say
The hotel scores 8.6 out of 10 from 3,192 reviews. Among the 11 hotels we compared, that placed it joint 3rd of 11.
Two things stand out in guest comments. First, the location, close to the old town and shops. Second, the breakfast: an extensive buffet with fresh bread and rolls and a wide range of regional items.
The common complaint is room size. Rooms are called functional and clean, but small, with little wardrobe space.
Price and what you get, compared with our other two picks
Reference prices seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 (10 to 12 November, 2 adults, one room) were €205.84 per night, exactly the sample median. These are not live quotes, so check today's price for your dates.
Here the comparison needs care. Our Budget pick, Johanniter Gästehaus, scored 8.7 with 3 stars at €103.45 per night. Our Luxury pick, Hotel Schloss Wilkinghege, scored 8.9 with 4 stars at €198.55, about €7 less than this hotel.
So in this sample, Stadthotel Münster was the most expensive of our three picks. What you pay for is the central address and breakfast reputation. If those are not priorities for your trip, the other two picks deserve a look.
Why it made our top 3
