Station Suites Aparthotel
By the Top3Hotels editorial team. Based on Booking.com guest scores and reviews, location data and reference prices. We did not stay at this hotel. Updated 2026-10-24.
This is the one to book in Middlesbrough if you want the highest guest score in our sample, a spot opposite the station and a kitchen. It cost almost the same as our Best Value pick, so the main reason to skip it is a smaller review base of 291.

Our Luxury pick in Middlesbrough is a 4-star aparthotel with a guest score of 9.2 out of 10 from 291 reviews. That is the top score among the 3 properties we compared.
It suits rail travellers, people who like to cook some of their own meals and anyone who arrives late, since guests mention 24-hour service. Family rooms are listed too.
Look elsewhere if you need a 5-star hotel, which was not part of this shortlist, or if you prefer a long review history. The other two picks each have well over 1,000 reviews.
Location and getting around
The address is Boho 6 Station Suites. Guests rate the location 9.4 out of 10, the best of our three picks, and say it sits opposite the train station with town centre shops a short walk away.
Tees Transporter Bridge is about 0.9 km away, roughly 11 minutes on foot. Ayresome Park is about 1.7 km, around 21 minutes.
Middlesbrough Cathedral is about 6.4 km away, some 80 minutes on foot. That is far, so take public transport or a taxi.
These are straight-line estimates and have not been walked.
What guests say
Location is the headline. Being directly across from the station is what guests mention most.
Staff also do well. Reviews describe a friendly, helpful team, a warm welcome and service around the clock.
The one recurring complaint is small but practical. Guests say the kitchen is well equipped with appliances, yet lacks basics such as washing-up soap and cloths. Bring a few supplies or ask at the desk.
Price and how it compares with our other Middlesbrough picks
The reference price was €181.62 per night. That is a reference price seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 for 2 adults, not a live quote, so check today's price for your dates.
The sample median was €180.46, so this is barely above it.
Our Budget pick, Holiday Inn Express Middlesbrough - Centre Square by IHG, was €161.45 with a score of 8.5 and 3 stars. Our Best Value pick, Leonardo Hotel Middlesbrough, was €180.46 with a score of 8.0 and 4 stars.
In plain terms, you paid about €1 more than the Leonardo for a score 1.2 points higher. Against the Budget pick, the extra is about €20 a night.
Listed facilities are free Wi-Fi, a restaurant and a 24-hour front desk. Breakfast options listed are full English or Irish, vegetarian and buffet. Whether breakfast is in your rate is not confirmed.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 3 eligible properties in Middlesbrough. For the Luxury slot we look for 5-star hotels first. A 4-star hotel can fill the slot only if it scores at least 8.5, and this one cleared that with 9.2.
Its star rating is an estimate from the booking provider rather than an official grading, which is worth knowing.
Before you book
Room size, noise, renovation condition, breakfast inclusion and cancellation terms have not been assessed. Check them on the booking page.
Confirm what the kitchen contains and whether cleaning supplies are provided.
Parking is not mentioned in our data, so ask the property if you are driving. Check the restaurant's opening times for your dates as well.
