This is our Best Value pick in Huddersfield. It suits drivers, families and business travellers who want reliable service, a hearty breakfast and free parking. Family rooms are listed, and the listing is tagged as pet-friendly, so check the pet terms with the hotel.
Skip it if you are counting every pound, since our Budget pick costs about €41 less per night. It is also not ideal if mattress comfort is critical to you, because some guests report sagging, too soft or too hard beds.
Location and getting around
The address is Halifax Rd, Birchencliffe, and guests rate the location 8.9 out of 10. The walking time to Huddersfield town centre or station is not confirmed in our data, so check a map if you will be without a car.
The listed sights are far. Bailiff Bridge is about 6.2 km away, Halifax Minster about 6.7 km and Sowerby Bridge about 7.5 km. Each would take well over an hour on foot, so you will need a car, a taxi or public transport.

Why it made our top 3
We compared 6 eligible hotels in Huddersfield. The Best Value slot goes to the hotel that best balances guest score, number of reviews and reference price, not simply the cheapest.
A score of 8.7 across nearly 1,500 reviews, at a price close to the median, gave The Briar Court Hotel that balance.
