This is our Budget pick in Coventry. It makes most sense for drivers, people heading to the NEC, and anyone who wants a 3-star room with a restaurant downstairs without paying city centre rates.
The data also tags it as pet friendly, so it may work if you travel with a dog. Check the pet policy and any fee directly before you book, because the terms are not confirmed here.
Walkers who want to step out of the door and into the old city should skip it. So should travellers who are sensitive to cleanliness, given what some guests report about bathrooms.
Location: Allesley Village and getting into Coventry
The hotel sits on Holyhead Rd in Allesley Village, on the western side of the city. Coventry Cathedral is about 3.3 km away, roughly 41 minutes on foot as a straight-line estimate. That is far for a casual walk, so plan on a bus or a taxi for sightseeing.
Guests say the position is convenient for both the NEC and the city centre, and they mention a bus stop directly outside. We have not checked routes or timetables, so look them up for your dates. The location score in the data is 8.8.
What guests say
The overall score is 8.0 out of 10 from 1,292 reviews. That is a solid figure, but it was also the lowest review score among the 8 eligible hotels in the sample, so keep expectations in line with the price.
Staff get the warmest comments. Guests describe a friendly, helpful and welcoming team that provides efficient service.
The weak point is cleanliness. Rooms are often tidy, yet some reviews mention dust, cobwebs and mould in bathrooms. Check the bathroom on arrival.
Price and what you get compared with our other Coventry picks
The reference price was €104.92 per night, seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 for 2 adults. That is 41% below the sample median of €178.94. It is not a live quote, so check today's price for your own dates.
For the money you get a 3-star hotel with a restaurant, free Wi-Fi, a garden, a terrace and free parking. Breakfast options listed are Full English/Irish, vegetarian and buffet, but whether breakfast is included in your rate is not confirmed.
Our Best Value pick, Warwick Conferences - Scarman, was €151.54 a night with a score of 8.9. Our Luxury pick, Hotel Indigo Coventry by IHG, was €206.34 with a score of 9.1. You save roughly €47 to €101 per night here, and you give up some review score in exchange.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 8 eligible hotels in Coventry. This one had the lowest eligible reference price once the upscale choice was set aside, which is the rule for our Budget slot.
Its score of 8.0 from more than a thousand reviews shows a consistent experience, even if it trails the other two picks.
Before you book
Room size, noise levels, renovation condition, breakfast inclusion and cancellation terms have not been assessed. Read the room description and the cancellation policy carefully on the booking page.
Confirm that parking is still free for your dates, check opening times for the restaurant, and look up the bus from the stop outside if you do not have a car. If you bring a pet, ask about rules and charges in advance.
