This is our Best Value pick for Phuket. It suits couples and solo travellers who want to explore the Old Town on foot, eat out every night and visit the Sunday night market. Guests rate both the location and the staff highly.
Skip it if you want resort facilities. The listed facilities are short: free Wi-Fi, air conditioning and a 24-hour front desk. No pool, gym or restaurant is listed. Also think twice if you have a lot of luggage or need room to spread out, because guests say standard rooms feel tight.
Location and getting around
The address is 19 Phang-Nga Road, Talad Yai, Muang, Phuket, in the Old Town. Location is the strongest point here, rated 9.9 out of 10 by guests.
Guests describe it as central, near restaurants, cafes and the Sunday night market. The one sight in our distance data, Wat Chalong, is about 7 km away, roughly 88 minutes on foot. That is far, so take a taxi or other transport. Beaches are not in our data, so plan transport for those too.
Walking times are straight-line estimates and have not been verified.
What guests say
The score is 9.3 out of 10 from 1,958 reviews. That was joint first of 16 eligible properties in our Phuket sample, from a large number of reviews.
Reviewers like the central setting and the staff, who are described as friendly and attentive, with good English and helpful local advice.
Room size is the main drawback. Some suites are spacious, but standard units feel tight with limited floor space. Noise and renovation condition have not been assessed by us, which matters on a town-centre street, so check recent reviews.
Price compared with our other Phuket picks
The reference price was €75.68 a night, about €151 for two nights. This is the reference price seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 for 2 adults in one room, not a live quote. Check today's price for your dates.
That is almost exactly the Phuket sample median of €74.64 a night. Our Budget pick, La Moon At Phuket - SHA Extra Plus, was €29.18 a night with a score of 8.2. Our Luxury pick, CRAFT Resort & Villas, Phuket Town - scheduled shuttle to Phuket Old Town, was €102.31 a night with a score of 8.8 and a pool and spa.
So for an average price you get the top score in the sample and the best location score of our three. CRAFT costs about €27 more and adds facilities, but it is outside the Old Town and relies on a shuttle.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 16 eligible hotels in Phuket. The Best Value slot balances guest score, number of reviews and reference price, so it is not necessarily the cheapest. The Memory at On On Hotel had the joint highest score, nearly 2,000 reviews and a price in line with the median.
Before you book
Breakfast is not confirmed in our data. Check whether your rate includes it, although with many cafes nearby you may not need it. Confirm the cancellation terms.
Look closely at room sizes when choosing a room type. If space matters, compare the suite and standard options before you book.
