Sightseers are the obvious fit. Lincoln Castle is about 100 metres away and Lincoln Cathedral roughly a 5-minute walk, so a short break built around the historic uphill area works well from here.
Couples and solo travellers who value friendly service should also like it. Guests mention a warm welcome and help with luggage.
Skip it if you want the lowest price or a long list of facilities. The property lists a restaurant, a terrace and free Wi-Fi, and that is about it. There is no pool, spa or gym in the data.
Location and getting around
The hotel sits at 38 Westgate, in what the booking data calls the top-rated area of Lincoln. Its location score is 9.7, the strongest part of its profile.
Lincoln Castle is about 0.1 km away, roughly a 1-minute walk. Lincoln Cathedral is about 0.4 km, around 5 minutes. Guests also mention restaurants close by at the top of the hill.
That hilltop position is worth knowing. If you arrive with heavy bags or plan to walk down to the lower town and back, expect a climb on the return. Walking times are straight-line estimates and have not been verified.
What guests say
Location comes up first in guest comments: a short walk to the castle, the cathedral and places to eat. Staff come next, described as friendly and professional, with help carrying luggage.
No recurring complaint appears in our data. That is a good sign with 2,365 reviews behind a 9.0 score, but it does not mean every stay goes smoothly. Room size and noise have simply not been assessed.
Price compared with our other Lincoln picks
The reference price seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026, for 2 adults in one room, was €151.54 per night. That comes to roughly €303 for two nights. It is not a live quote, so check today's price for your dates.
Our Budget pick, Damon's Hotel, was €71.86 a night with a score of 8.4 and 4 stars. Our Luxury pick, The White Hart Hotel Lincoln, was €150.13 with a score of 8.7 and 4 stars.
So this 3-star hotel cost slightly more than the Luxury choice on those dates. What you pay for is the higher guest score, 9.0 against 8.7, and a position right next to the castle. If star rating matters more to you than reviews, The White Hart is the closer comparison.
Why it made our top 3

It is our Best Value pick because it balances score, review volume and price. It is not the cheapest. At €151.54 it sat above the sample median of €111.79 a night.
