Vienna House by Wyndham Thüringer Hof Eisenach
By the Top3Hotels editorial team. Based on Booking.com guest scores and reviews, location data and reference prices. We did not stay at this hotel. Updated 2026-10-24.
Yes, book it: at the reference price it was the cheapest of our three Eisenach picks and the joint top score, with a central spot near the station. Skip it only if you drive a large car or SUV, because guests say the garage entrance is extremely narrow.

This is our Luxury pick in Eisenach. It suits sightseers who want Bach House and the pedestrian zone on foot, rail travellers, and people who care about breakfast. A gym and a restaurant are listed, and the listing tags it as pet friendly.
Drivers of large cars and SUVs should plan ahead or park elsewhere. Also note the star rating is 4 stars as estimated by the accommodation, not an official rating, and there is no 5-star in our Eisenach selection.
Location and getting around
The address is Karlsplatz 11, in what the booking data calls the top-rated area of Eisenach. The location score is 9.5. Guests describe a central position near the train station, the pedestrian zone and the historic sights.
On our straight-line estimates, Bach House is about 0.5 km away, roughly 6 minutes on foot. Wartburg is about 1.7 km, around 21 minutes. That is walkable, but a straight line ignores slopes and bends, so the real walk will take longer. If walking uphill is hard for you, a taxi is worth considering.
What guests say
The score is 8.5 out of 10 from 2,560 reviews, the joint best among the 4 hotels we compared. Guests like the central location and the breakfast, described as an extensive buffet with a wide range of fresh hot and cold options. The property lists it as continental and buffet.
The clear complaint is the garage. Guests say the entrance is extremely narrow, which makes access hard for large vehicles and SUVs.
Price and how it compares with our other Eisenach picks
The reference price was €85.20 a night, about €170 for two nights. These are reference prices seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 for 2 adults, not live quotes. Check today's price for your dates, because the order of our three picks by price may well change.
Here the numbers were unusual. The median of the hotels we compared was €124.55, so this Luxury pick sat about 32% below it. Our Budget pick, pentahotel Eisenach, is a 4-star at €122.10 with a score of 8.4. Our Best Value pick, Haus Hainstein, is a 3-star at €135 with a score of 8.5. At the reference prices, this was the cheapest of the three, so it is worth checking first.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 4 eligible hotels in Eisenach. Our Luxury slot looks for a 5-star first. When none qualifies, a 4-star can take it if it scores at least 8.5. This hotel meets that bar with 8.5, has the joint top score and more than 2,500 reviews, and adds a 9.5 location score.
