This 4-star hotel is our Best Value pick in Viterbo. Guests score it 8.8 out of 10 from 1,608 reviews. It suits couples, families and older travellers who want reliable service and a good breakfast more than a spa or pool.
The property lists a restaurant, family rooms, free Wi-Fi and air conditioning. Pets are flagged in the listing data, but the policy and any fee are not confirmed, so ask before travelling with an animal.
If you are counting every euro, our Budget pick may suit you better. And if you want thermal pools or wellness facilities, none appear in our data for this hotel.
Location and getting around
The hotel is at Via San Camillo De Lellis 6. Guests give the location 8.4 out of 10. By our straight-line estimates, the Palace of the Popes in Viterbo is about 1.4 km away, roughly 18 minutes on foot, and Viterbo Cathedral about 1.5 km, around 19 minutes. Actual walking routes may take a bit longer.
Villa Lante is far, at about 5 km or some 63 minutes on foot. Plan on public transport, a taxi or a car for that visit. Parking is not listed in our data, so confirm it if you are driving.
What guests say
Staff come up most often. Guests describe a friendly, professional team that offers a warm welcome and helpful service. Breakfast is the other highlight: an abundant buffet with many sweet and savoury options, including local cakes. It is listed as Italian, American and buffet.
The main criticism is value. Most guests find it fair, but some think the breakfast price or the overall rate is too high. That matches what our price comparison shows.
Price and how it compares with our other Viterbo picks
Our reference price was €180.60 per night for 2 adults, about €361 for two nights. It is a reference price seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026, not a live quote, so check today's price for your dates.
Balletti Park Hotel, our Budget pick, is also a 4-star hotel and was €90.60 a night, half the price, with a score of 8.1. Hotel Salus Terme - Adults Only, our Luxury pick, was €280.95 a night and scores 9.0. Best Western Hotel Viterbo sits between them on both price and score. The extra over the budget option buys a higher rating and strong guest comments about service and breakfast.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 7 eligible hotels in Viterbo. Best Western Hotel Viterbo shared second place on guest score. As a Best Value choice, it balances score, review count and price. It is not the cheapest option, and on our reference dates it was priced above the city sample median.
What tipped it in was the combination of a high score with 1,608 reviews behind it and a walkable distance to the main sights.

Because guests flag breakfast prices, compare a rate with breakfast against one without. Check restaurant opening times if you plan to eat in, and confirm parking if you arrive by car.
