Best Western Plus Hotel Bremerhaven is our Best Value pick in the city. It has 4 stars and a guest score of 8.7 from 1,686 reviews, joint 2nd of the 8 hotels we compared.
It suits drivers, since free parking is listed, and families, because family rooms are listed too. People who care about breakfast will also like it: guests single out an extensive buffet with fish specialities and a view over the water.
Skip it if you want to walk everywhere. The main sights are 25 to 33 minutes away on foot, further than from our other two picks. And if price is your main filter, note that our Luxury pick showed a much lower reference price for the same score.
Location and getting around
The address is Fischkai 2, at the fishing harbour. Guests rate the location 9 and describe a quiet spot near restaurants, with on-site parking and bus access.
By straight-line estimate, the Bremen cog and the German Maritime Museum are each about 2 km away, around 25 minutes on foot. Bremerhaven Zoo is about 2.6 km, roughly 33 minutes. That is beyond an easy stroll, so plan on public transport or a taxi for the zoo, or use your car.
Guests mention bus access nearby, but specific routes are not confirmed in our data. Check a journey planner for your trip.
What guests say
Breakfast is the standout. Guests describe an extensive buffet with fish specialities, served in a room that overlooks the water. Our data lists the format as buffet.
The location also scores well, mainly for its quiet setting at the harbour and the restaurants close by.
On the negative side, value splits opinion. Some guests find the rates reasonable, while others think room prices and add-ons are high. Whether breakfast is included in your rate is not confirmed, so factor that in.
Price compared with our other Bremerhaven picks
The reference price we saw was €164.50 a night, about €329 for a 2-night stay in November 2026 for 2 adults. The sample median was €141.82, so this sits above it. These are reference prices, not live quotes, so check today's price for your dates.
Our Budget pick, Premier Inn Bremerhaven, was €105.67 a night with 8.3 and 3 stars. Our Luxury pick, THE LIBERTY Hotel Bremerhaven BW Signature Collection, was €104.50 with the same 8.7 score and 4 stars.
Being direct: in our reference stay this was the most expensive of the three, by about €60 a night. What you get for that is free parking, family rooms, a quieter harbour setting and the breakfast guests praise. If none of those matter to you, the cheaper picks make more sense.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 8 eligible hotels in Bremerhaven. The Best Value slot balances guest score, number of reviews and reference price; it is not necessarily the cheapest hotel.
This one combines a high score with a large review count of 1,686. Listed facilities include free Wi-Fi, air conditioning and a terrace.
Before you book
Room size, noise, renovation condition, breakfast inclusion and cancellation terms have not been assessed. Ask which add-ons cost extra, since guests mention them as a weak point.
Our data tags the hotel as pet-friendly, but conditions and fees are not confirmed. Before you commit, compare today's price with THE LIBERTY Hotel; if the gap is still large, decide whether parking and the harbour setting justify it.
