THE LIBERTY Hotel Bremerhaven BW Signature Collection is our Luxury pick in the city. It holds 4 stars and a guest score of 8.7 from 2,785 reviews, the largest review count of our three picks here.
It suits sightseers who want to walk to the main attractions, and couples who would use the spa and gym that are listed. It is also a strong choice on price, which is unusual for a Luxury pick.
Skip it if you are driving and want free parking. Guests find parking costs high, and free parking is not listed. Families should check room options directly, since family rooms are not listed here. And if you expect a five-star experience, note this is a four-star fallback.
Location and getting around
The address is Columbusstraße 67. Guests rate the location 9.7, the highest of our three Bremerhaven picks, and describe a central position directly at the harbour, a short walk from the local museums.
Our straight-line estimates put Bremerhaven Zoo about 0.3 km away, around 4 minutes on foot. The Bremen cog and the German Maritime Museum are each about 0.7 km, roughly 9 minutes walking.
With all three sights this close, you can likely skip local transport for sightseeing. If you are arriving by train or bus, specific connections are not confirmed in our data, so check a journey planner.
What guests say
Location tops the praise: guests like being right at the harbour with museums close by. Breakfast is the second highlight, described as an abundant buffet with a wide variety of tasty, fresh items.
The complaint is about extras. Guests appreciate the quality but find parking and breakfast costs high. So the low room rate may not tell the whole story if you need both.
Breakfast is listed as buffet. Whether it is included in your rate is not confirmed.
Price compared with our other Bremerhaven picks
The reference price we saw was €104.50 a night, about €209 for a 2-night stay in November 2026 for 2 adults. That was 26% below the sample median of €141.82. These are reference prices, not live quotes, so check today's price for your dates.
Our Budget pick, Premier Inn Bremerhaven, was €105.67 a night with 8.3 and 3 stars. Our Best Value pick, Best Western Plus Hotel Bremerhaven, was €164.50 with 8.7 and 4 stars.
That makes this the cheapest of the three in our reference stay, with a top score and the best location rating. The catch is the extras: add parking and breakfast and the gap may shrink. Run the full sum for your dates.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 8 eligible hotels in Bremerhaven. For the Luxury slot, five-star hotels are prioritised, and a four-star fallback must score at least 8.5. This four-star scored 8.7, joint 2nd of 8, so it qualified.
Listed facilities include a gym, spa, restaurant, free Wi-Fi and a terrace. Air conditioning is tagged in our data, but check it for your room.
Before you book
Room size, noise, renovation condition, breakfast inclusion and cancellation terms have not been assessed. Ask for current parking and breakfast prices, since guests flag them as high.
