This is our Best Value pick for Colmar. It suits rail travellers, drivers who want free parking, and families, since the family options are described as roomier. Guests also rate the breakfast highly, with fresh local products and freshly squeezed orange juice.
Couples who want space to spread out may find standard rooms tight. If you want to step out straight into the old town lanes, a hotel inside the centre will suit you better, though the walk from here is short.
Location and getting around
The address is 14 route de Rouffach. Guests say it is next to the train station and within walking distance of the old town. The location score is 8.9 out of 10.
St Martin's Church and the Musée Bartholdi are both about 1.1 km away, roughly 14 minutes on foot. The Unterlinden Museum is about 1.2 km, around 15 minutes. That puts the main old-town sights within an easy walk. These are straight-line estimates, so real routes may take a few minutes more.

Why it made our top 3
We compared 9 eligible hotels in Colmar. The Best Value slot balances guest score, the number of reviews and the reference price, so it is not necessarily the cheapest. Colmar Hotel combines one of the top scores in the sample with more than 9,000 reviews and a mid-range price.
