Gyeongju city hotel

By the Top3Hotels editorial team. Based on Booking.com guest scores and reviews, location data and reference prices. We did not stay at this hotel. Updated 2026-10-24.

Yes, it is a sensible booking if you want a simple 3-star room in Gyeongju at about half the local median price, with free parking and the main palace site around 20 minutes on foot. Skip it if you want a long list of facilities, or if you would rather pay more for the highest guest score in town.

Who it suits, and who might want something else

This is our Budget pick in Gyeongju. It fits couples, solo travellers and anyone driving, since free parking is listed. The facility list is short: air conditioning, a 24-hour front desk, free parking and a buffet breakfast option.

It is less suited to travellers who want a gym, a pool or an on-site restaurant. None of those appear in our data. Wi-Fi is not listed either, so check that if you need to work.

Location and getting around

The address is 127 Bukseong-ro. Guests give the location 8.6 out of 10.

Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond is the closest sight in our data, about 1.7 km away, roughly 21 minutes on foot. Gyeongju National Museum and Gyeongju National Park are each about 2.3 km away, around 29 minutes. All three are within half an hour by our estimate, so walking is a real option on a dry day.

Those times are straight-line estimates and have not been verified. Actual walking routes are often longer, so allow some extra time, or use a taxi or public transport if you are short on time.

What guests say

The hotel scores 8.9 out of 10 from 102 guest reviews. That placed it joint second of the 3 eligible hotels we compared in the city.

We do not have a summary of specific likes or dislikes for this property. So we cannot tell you whether guests praise the staff or complain about noise. Read a handful of recent reviews and look for comments on room size, cleanliness and breakfast before you commit.

A score near 9 from more than 100 reviews is a good sign for a Budget hotel, but it is still a summary number, not a guarantee.

Price and what you get against our other Gyeongju picks

The reference price was €64.76 per night, about €130 for two nights. It is a reference price seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 for 2 adults, not a live quote. Check today's price for your dates.

The sample median was €127.00, so this rate was 49% below the middle of the market. Our Best Value pick, Gyeongju SHIHYO Hotel, was €127 per night with the highest score of the three at 9.5. Our Luxury pick, Lahan Select Gyeongju, was €144.86 per night, holds 5 stars and scored 8.3.

So the trade is clear. You give up some facilities and a higher score in exchange for paying about half of what the other two cost.

Why it made our top 3

We compared 3 eligible hotels in Gyeongju. The Budget slot goes to the lowest eligible reference price once the upscale choice is set aside, and this hotel was it at €64.76.

It also holds up on quality, with 8.9 from 102 reviews. A small comparison pool means our pick reflects a narrow sample, so it is worth checking other options for your dates too.

Before you book

Room size, noise, renovation condition, breakfast inclusion and cancellation terms have not been assessed. Check them on the booking page.

Confirm whether Wi-Fi is available, since it is not in our facility list. If you want the buffet breakfast, choose a rate that clearly includes it, and confirm parking for your dates.
