This is our Budget pick in Bilbao. It is a 2-star hotel that suits couples and solo travellers who plan to spend the day out on foot and want a well-reviewed room at a low price.
Skip it if a generous breakfast is part of your plan, or if you want a gym or restaurant on site. Listed facilities are free Wi-Fi, air conditioning and a terrace. For more comfort at a mid-range price, Hotel Tayko Bilbao is our Best Value pick.
Location and getting around
The address is Paseo Campo Volantin 1, in Bilbao City Centre. Bilbao Cathedral is about 0.8 km away, roughly 10 minutes on foot, and the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao is about 0.9 km, roughly 11 minutes. Note that these walking times and distances have not been verified, so treat them as rough guides.
The Vizcaya Bridge is 9.9 km away, around 124 minutes on foot, so it is far. You will need public transport or a taxi for that trip. Guests describe the setting as central and riverside, and the location score is 9.7.
What guests say
The hotel scores 8.5 out of 10 from 5,779 reviews, the largest review count of our three Bilbao picks. It sits joint 7th of 9 eligible properties in the provider sample, so it is solid rather than outstanding in this city.
Guests like the location, within walking distance of the Old Town and the Guggenheim, and the staff, described as friendly and professional with a warm welcome. The weak spot is breakfast: some enjoy it, while others report limited variety and no hot food.
Price and how it compares with our other picks
The reference price seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 (10 to 12 Nov, 2 adults, one room) was €118.15 a night, about €236 in total. The sample median was €212.59, so this is about 44% below the typical rate. These are reference prices, not live quotes; check today's price for your dates.
Hotel Tayko Bilbao, our Best Value pick, was €212.59 a night with a 9.2 score and 4 stars. The Artist Grand Hotel of Art, our Luxury pick, was €297 a night with a 9.3 score and 5 stars. Bilbao Plaza gives you a similar central position for a little over half the Tayko price, with simpler facilities.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 9 properties in Bilbao. After reserving the upscale choice, Bilbao Plaza had the lowest eligible reference price. An 8.5 score from nearly 6,000 reviews makes it a dependable low-cost option, which is what the Budget slot is for.
