By the Top3Hotels editorial team. Based on Booking.com guest scores and reviews, location data and reference prices. We did not stay at this hotel. Updated 2026-10-24.
Book it if you want a 5-star hotel on the seafront promenade and value that rating over guest score. If you mainly want the best-reviewed stay for your money, our Best Value pick scored higher at a little over half the price.

This is our Luxury pick in Viareggio, the city's officially rated 5-star option in our sample, with a guest score of 8.3 out of 10. It suits couples and families who want a beachfront address, a gym and a restaurant on site, and staff who give good local advice. Family rooms are listed.
Skip it if you judge hotels mainly by guest score. Both our Budget and Best Value picks scored higher. Also skip it if you dislike extra charges, which some guests flag.
Location and getting around
The address is Piazza d'Azeglio 1. Guests rate the location 9.2 out of 10 and describe the hotel as directly on the seafront promenade, close to restaurants and the town centre. Beachfront appears on the facility list.
Our data has only one named sight with a distance: the Viareggio Synagogue, about 1.1 km away in a straight line, roughly 14 minutes on foot. Distances to other places are not confirmed, so check a map for anything else on your list. Parking is not listed in our data either, so drivers should ask the hotel.
What guests say
From 285 reviews, the praise centres on the staff, described as friendly and professional, with helpful advice and a warm welcome. The seafront position near restaurants is the other clear plus.
On value, opinion is split. Some guests find the rates reasonable, while others point to high charges for extra services. Which services those are is not specified, so ask for a price list. Room size, noise and renovation condition have not been assessed. The review count is also modest, so the score may move more than at larger hotels.
Price and how it compares with our other Viareggio picks
The reference price was €239.10 per night, seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 for 2 adults, about €478.20 for both nights. It is not a live quote. Check today's price for your dates.
The sample median was €124.70 per night, so this hotel cost almost twice the typical rate. Our Budget pick, Hotel Stella D'Italia, a 3-star, was €70.44 per night with a score of 8.4. Our Best Value pick, Palace Hotel, a 4-star, was €135.40 per night with a score of 8.9.
The extra money here buys the 5-star rating, the seafront promenade setting and the facilities. It does not buy a higher guest score. Breakfast covers Italian, continental, vegetarian and gluten-free options, but whether it is in your rate is not confirmed.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 8 eligible properties in Viareggio. Our Luxury slot goes to 5-star hotels first, and a 4-star only steps in if it scores at least 8.5. This hotel holds the official 5-star rating, which is why it takes the slot despite sitting joint seventh of eight on review score.
Before you book

Confirm whether breakfast is included and read the cancellation terms. Neither has been checked.
