By the Top3Hotels editorial team. Based on Booking.com guest scores and reviews, location data and reference prices. We did not stay at this hotel. Updated 2026-10-24.
Worth booking for a short stay if you want a walkable base near the station, the centre and the Festspielhaus at a price below the Bayreuth median. It suits culture trips and couples; festival visitors should expect prices to rise sharply.

This is our Best Value pick in Bayreuth. It fits travellers who want to walk to the opera house, the Festspielhaus and the centre, and who care more about a big breakfast than about extras like a spa. Family rooms are listed, and pets are accepted.
Skip it if a higher guest score matters most to you. Our Luxury pick scores 8.5 and cost only a little more in our reference check. If you are coming for the festival, compare carefully, because guests say prices here rise a lot during that period.
Location and getting around Bayreuth
The hotel is at Buergerreutherstrasse 6. Guests give the location 8.6 out of 10 and say it is a short walk to the train station, the city centre and the Festspielhaus.
The Margravial Opera House is about 0.8 km away, roughly 10 minutes on foot. The Bayreuth Festspielhaus and the Kunstmuseum Bayreuth are each about 0.9 km, around 11 minutes. These are straight-line estimates that have not been verified, so allow a little more time on real streets.
What guests say
The score is 8.2 out of 10 from 1,735 reviews. That placed it joint fourth of 6 eligible hotels in the sample, so it is not the highest rated option in town.
Two things stand out in the praise. Guests like being able to walk to the station, the centre and the Festspielhaus. They also like the breakfast, described as a large buffet with a wide variety of hot and cold options.
On the negative side, guests say the rates are reasonable for short stays but rise significantly during the festival.
Price and what you get, compared with our other two picks
The reference price was €101.25 a night, seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 for 2 adults. It is not a live quote. It sat about 9% below the sample median of €111.00. Check today's price for your dates, especially in festival season.
The listing includes free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, a 24-hour front desk and family rooms. Breakfast is listed as a buffet. Whether it is included in your rate is not confirmed.
Our Budget pick, ibis budget Bayreuth, was €88.20 a night with the same 8.2 score and 1.5 stars. Our Luxury pick, H4 Hotel Residenzschloss Bayreuth, was €109.00 a night with a score of 8.5 and 4 stars. The three are close on price, so look at today's rates side by side before you decide.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 6 hotels in Bayreuth. The Best Value slot goes to the hotel with the best balance of guest score, number of reviews and reference price, which is not always the cheapest. Here a solid score across more than 1,700 reviews, a walkable location and a price below the median earned the place.
