This is our Budget pick in Tübingen, though prices in the city run high, so budget here still means around €166 a night. It suits train travellers, short city breaks and anyone who wants the old town within a few minutes' walk. Family rooms are listed, and pets are listed as accepted; check any fee.
Skip it if room size matters to you, since guests call the rooms small. Drivers should also be aware that guests find parking expensive.
Location and getting around
The address is Friedrichstrasse 20. Guests describe a short walk to the old town and to the train station, with a bus stop nearby. The location score is 9.0 out of 10.
St. George's Collegiate Church, Tübingen is about 0.5 km away, roughly 6 minutes on foot. Kunsthalle Tübingen is about 3 km, around 38 minutes, and Bebenhausen Abbey is about 4.8 km, around 60 minutes. Both of those are far, so plan on public transport or a taxi.
Walking times are straight-line estimates, not measured routes.
What guests say
The score is 8.3 out of 10 from 2,770 reviews, the biggest review count of our three Tübingen picks. Guests like the location and the breakfast, a fresh buffet with a large selection that includes vegan and gluten-free options.
The complaints are about value. Guests see the hotel as good value for its location, but think parking, breakfast and the small rooms are expensive. Noise and the condition of the rooms have not been assessed.
Price and what you get compared with our other picks
We saw a reference price of €165.92 per night, about €332 in total, for a 2-night stay in November 2026 for 2 adults. It is not a live quote, so check today's price for your dates.
That was about 23% below the sample median of €215.20. Domizil Tübingen, our Luxury pick, was about €215 per night, and Hotel Krone ****S, our Best Value pick, was about €230. Both score 8.6. So the ibis Styles saves you roughly €50 to €65 a night for a slightly lower score.
Listed facilities include a restaurant, a terrace, family rooms and free Wi-Fi. Breakfast options listed are continental, vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and buffet. Whether breakfast is included in your rate is not confirmed, and guests suggest it can cost extra.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 3 eligible hotels in Tübingen. After setting aside the upscale choice, the ibis Styles had the lowest eligible reference price. Its 9.0 location score and short walk to the old town make it a reasonable entry point in an expensive city.
Before you book
Check whether breakfast is in your rate and what it costs if not. Ask about parking prices if you are driving. Look at the room size in the offer, since guests mention small rooms. Cancellation terms and noise have not been assessed.
