Our Budget pick in Liepaja scores 9.3 out of 10 from 747 guest reviews, the second-highest score among the 5 eligible hotels we compared. That is an unusually strong result for the cheapest option.
It suits couples and families on a budget (family rooms are listed), drivers (free parking is listed) and anyone who puts cleanliness first. Guests consistently describe it as spotless.
Skip it if you want to cook. The apartments have modern appliances, but guests say they often lack stovetops, cutlery and complimentary coffee. If self-catering is the reason you want an apartment, this may disappoint.
Location and getting around
The address is 5 Kūrmājas prospekts. Guests rate the location 9.6 and describe it as central, near the beach, the Old Town and parks, yet quiet.
Distances are straight-line estimates. Holy Trinity Cathedral is about 0.6 km away, around 8 minutes on foot, and St. Joseph Cathedral about 0.7 km, around 9 minutes. St. Nicholas Naval Cathedral in Karosta is about 4.8 km, close to an hour on foot. That one is far, so plan on public transport or a taxi.
Free parking is listed, which is handy if you arrive by car. A 24-hour front desk is also listed.
What guests say
Cleanliness earns the most consistent praise: spotless, fresh and tidy throughout.
Location comes next. Reviewers like being close to the beach, the Old Town and parks while still having a quiet place to sleep.
The weak point is the kitchen. Appliances are modern, but stovetops, cutlery and free coffee are often missing. Plan to eat out or bring a few basics.
Price and what you get compared with our other picks
We saw €50.00 per night. That is a reference price seen for a 2-night stay in November 2026 for 2 adults, not a live quote. Check today's price for your dates.
The sample median was €64.00, so this property came in 22% below it. Our Best Value pick, Roze Boutique Hotel, was €70 with a score of 9.4. Our Luxury pick, Promenade Hotel Liepaja, was €117 with a score of 9.1 and five stars.
The score gap to the Best Value pick is just 0.1, and you save about €20 a night. Here you get a listed apartment set-up with family rooms, free parking, air conditioning, free Wi-Fi and a 24-hour front desk. A buffet breakfast is offered, but whether it is in your rate is not confirmed.
Why it made our top 3
We compared 5 eligible hotels in Liepaja. The Budget slot goes to the lowest eligible reference price after the upscale choice is reserved. This property had that price and still scored 9.3 from 747 reviews, so there was little reason to look further.
